Peyman Zandieh, MD,FACOG

Dr. Peyman Zandieh was raised in Queens, NY, and is a graduate of Mount Sinai School of Medicine in Manhattan. After medical school, he pursued advanced specialty training in Obstetrics & Gynecology at New York University Medical Center. After finishing his residency there, he moved to Long Island and has been in Private Practice here in Nassau County for more than 25 years.

Dr. Zandieh is an accomplished gynecologic surgeon, but he prides himself first and foremost on the care he provides to his pregnant patients. He loves delivering babies, and has one of the lowest cesarean section rates amongst his peers. He is not an alarmist and believes that pregnancy is a natural state which should be treated as such. He treats each pregnancy as an individual case, providing truly personalized care to each expectant mother, no matter how simple or complicated their pregnancy may be. He has considerable and well-respected expertise in the care of all pregnancies, including high-risk and complicated cases. He is particularly respected for providing hands-on care in a gentle and non-alarming manner, even when dealing with the most troubling and worrisome situations.

He is, in addition, an expert gynecologist, with considerable experience in minimally-invasive and advanced pelvic surgery. Nevertheless, his first approach is always non-surgical, leaving surgery as a last resort or when truly indicated.

Dr. Zandieh’s vision in establishing his practice has always been based on 2 simple principles:

  • Provide high-quality, evidence-based care to everyone, treating each patient as his own family member
  • Adhere to good, old-fashioned work ethics

To this day, our office has been adhering to these basic principles, and Dr. Zandieh is actively involved in the day-to-day care of all our patients. He is very proud that in today’s changing corporate medical world, our office is still treating each patient the way they should be treated, without undue attention paid to paperwork, computers, data entry and insurance bureaucracy. Although our office is affiliated with two major academic medical centers, our practice is completely independent, and Dr. Zandieh is personally available and reachable for all matters.

Dr. Zandieh is a Diplomate of the American Board of Obstetrics & Gynecology and a Fellow of the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists, as well as a member of the American Institute of Ultrasound in Medicine, the Medical Society of the State of New York, Nassau County Medical Society, and the Nassau County Academy of Medicine. He is also an active member of the Chairman’s Advisory Committee at NYU Langone Hospital—Long Island, as well as the Obstetrical Peer Review Committee, the Residents’ Review Committee and the Core Curriculum Committee. In addition, he is one of the active members of the United Healthcare/Oxford Regional Quality Review Committee for the Northeastern United States.
